Welcome to the Joomla Podcast E-mail

I'd like to humbly welcome you to the Joomla Podcast. My name is Mike Brogan and I've been using Joomla for over two years. I work for a local ISP and web host in Santa Cruz, California called Cruzio, where I teach classes to all sorts of people looking to start a website with Joomla.

Why start the Joomla Podcast?

I'm a big fan of podcasts. I listen to them as I ride my bike to work or when I take a trip in the car. I must subscribe to over 20 different shows covering all sorts of topics. I noticed that there's a real dearth of podcasts that cover my favorite CMS. Do a search on iTunes for "Joomla" and you'll see that there's not much there. I do want to recognize the work of Pete Russell from Joomla Juice—It's a good podcast that focuses nearly exclusively on interviews with developers from the Joomla community. I recommend that you check it out.

I want to do something different.

The Joomla Podcast will cover news, tips and tricks, tutorials, feature top extensions and templates, and more. Each week I'll give you the freshest news, tell you about the must-have extensions, and discuss issues affecting the Joomla world. I'm not affiliated with any Joomla developer so you'll only get the truth from me.

At this time I don't plan to have interviews on the Joomla Podcast—and I won't have three minutes of electronica music to start the show (sorry for the zing, Pete!)

I invite you to tune in, and give me your feedback! Let me know if there's something you think I should be covering or if you disagree with my opinions. I want to hear from you.

Advertising

I want to be upfront that the Joomla Podcast is willing to take advertising and sponsoring if it makes sense for the show and website. However I will not allow sponsorship to dictate the editorial content, EVER. If you are interested in sponsoring the podcast or the show, please contact the Joomla Podcast.
